RIS II Handguard

The Rail Interface System (RIS) II was initially designed at the request of the U.S. Special Operations Command for the SOPMOD Block 2 M4 program, and SOCOM has used it since 2005. They wanted a free-floating Picatinny quad rail that could hold an M203 grenade launcher without affecting the barrel's harmonics, which could decrease accuracy. For competitive shooting, this translates to increased accuracy and a platform for mounting accessories. Cold Hammer Forged Barrel

The 14.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel gives you unprecedented accuracy and durability. The bore is precisely aligned to the chamber, making your rifle as accurate as possible. The hammers shape the barrel around a mandrel inserted into the barrel’s bore. With handles on both sides, it doesn’t matter which hand you use to charge the bolt. It’s lightweight and easier to handle than typical charging handles. When in the middle of a competition heat, you want to be able to manipulate controls quickly and easily, and the GRIP-N-RIP makes that possible.

Flared Magazine Well

A flared magazine well is crucial for quicker reloads during a competition. The M4A1’s mag well is widened and bezeled, which helps funnel the mag into place.
