If you’re feeling outdoorsy but don’t want to travel too far from home, kayaking from the Riva Row Boat House may be a perfect solution.

Cost:
Single: $15 first hour, $5 each additional hour
Tandem: $20 first hour, $5 each additional hour
Hours of Operation for 2015:
Jan 1 – May 17 – 9am to sunset (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
May 18 – Aug 23 – 9am to 8pm (Closed Wednesdays)
Aug 24 – Dec 31 – 9am to sunset (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
Where can I explore?
According to their map, it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Northshore Park. From there, you can go north for 25 minutes and reach the Research Forest Bridge, or head south for 35 minutes and hit Southshore park and get up close and personal with the dragon of Lake Woodlands.
