Average Listing Prices Rise in March
The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) released their monthly market snapshot for March.
According to HAR’s data, 9,489 homes were added to the market in March. The 621 additional homes represent a 7% increase compared to last year’s 8,868.
Similarly, the average list price rose to $276,445, a 4.4% increase versus the same time last year. This figure means we could exceed the record average sales price set in July of 2014 of $276,444.
Active listings were also on the rise with 17,488 in March from 15,840 the previous year. The 1,648 properties represent a 10.4% increase from March 2014. Additionally, the average list price rose 4.4% year over year to $276,445.
