Alden Bridge was established in 1994, and was named after Roger Galatas’ (then president of The Woodlands Operating Company) hometown in Louisiana. Alden Bridge stretches along the northern boundary of The Woodlands, spanning from FM2978, as far north as FM1488 and along College Park Drive to Gosling Road.

Recreation

Alden Bridge is home to over twenty parks with various amenities. Alden Bridge, Lakeside Park, and Windvale Park are the largest parks in the area, and also host pools at each location. Alden Bridge Sports Park is located on Highway 242 just east of Green Bridge Drive and contains practice fields for soccer, rugby, and baseball/softball teams. The park also features the second community garden in the Township, the first is in Bear Branch Sports Park. The park features 8 lighted soccer/football fields and 4 lighted baseball/softball fields.

Shopping

The Village of Alden Bridge contains two main shopping centers including the Alden Bridge Village Center & Windvale Village Center located north of College Park Drive. The Alden Bridge Village Center is home to many shops and restaurants including Kroger, Rico’s Mexican Grill, Walgreens, Chick-fil-A, Pure Barre and Chase Bank. A short drive away in the Windvale Village Center one can find stores including Randall’s Supermarket, Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar, Anytime Fitness, Quizno’s Subs, and Wells Fargo Bank.

Schools

There are a number of schools within the Alden Bridge Community. Barbara Bush Elementary, Buckalew Elementary, and Mitchell Intermediate are all located here among the lengthy list of highly awarded schools in The Woodlands. Additionally, private schools such as St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School and The Woodlands Christian Academy are also located within Alden Bridge Village limits.

Age and Price Point

According to Active Listings currently on the MLS, homes range in price from the low 200’s to over $1 million price point. The age range of the homes built here stretch from 1994 up to the early 2000’s.
