#362 – Concert in the Park Series
Since starting up this 365 Things to Do series, it seems there has been heavy influence on musical performances in the area. It just so happens that spring is a time to dust off the six-string and get to strummin’.
I wanted to get the word out before the weekend because this Sunday, April 26th, will be the last concert in the Northshore Series for the Spring. Not to worry, they’re not going away forever. The season typically picks up again early September.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the series, the Northshore Concert in the Park features local and non-local artists from a wide variety of genres. This year the series saw Texas Country, Southern Blues, Led Zeppelin and Rush Tribute bands among the eight bands who performed.
The Concert Series wraps up this Sunday, April 26th at 5:30pm with Dillon Havins & Company. Does that name sound familiar? It might. Dillon Havins was the 13 year-old phenom who appeared on America’s Got Talent for his talent strumming and singing to blues influences.
The concert series is open to all ages and is free of charge. In addition, the boat launch will be open during the concert for the folks interested in listening from Lake Woodlands.
Enjoy the music!
