To celebrate the upcoming holidays, Waltonwood Cary Parkway, a premier senior living community, is inviting the public to its “Home for the Holidays” open house on Thursday, December 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the senior living community (located at 750 SE Cary Parkway). Guests will be able to partake in interactive seasonal cooking demonstrations and try hors d'oeuvres from a variety of food stations. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to participate in numerous holiday activities, meet the staff and tour the community. This special event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in attending the open house is asked to RSVP by calling 919-460-7330.

“We are offering fresh, delicious food that is truly a form of art for our Home for the Holidays open house,” said Andy Fetzer, culinary services director. “Our dining service is unique because we perform tableside cooking demonstrations and present weekly live-action stations for residents to enjoy. The items featured during the event are just a smattering of some of the tasty foods we offer at the community. We are redefining senior living with our fine dining and high-quality food that meets the nutritional needs of residents, while also exceeding their expectations of what senior living dining can be.”

The open house will focus on the culinary experience and life enrichment programs at the senior living community. Residents and guests will be able to taste delectable food, such as mini fried calzones, scorpion shrimp, grilled mini pizzas, shrimp and scallop crostini and much more. Waltonwood Cary Parkway has a dedicated pastry chef, who will show off sweet treats too. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a hands on activity and create a holiday fragrance to take home.

“The holiday season is about giving back, and here at Waltonwood Cary Parkway we wanted to give the public a taste of what seniors enjoy each day at the senior living community,” said Randy LeMaster, regional director of operations. “Hospitality is top of mind at the community. From the moment residents and guests are greeted at the receptionist desk to when they head back to their home or rooms at night, our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience. From fine dining to a variety of programs to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We are excited for the public to experience our warm atmosphere, meet our friendly staff and learn what it’s like to call Waltonwood home.”
