My name is Dr. Pratiksha Rigley, and my husband Noel and I are the proud owners of Primrose Schools of Frisco West, Park Cities, Plano at Preston Meadow, Prestonwood, and Waco at Woodway. I am eager for you to learn more about our Balanced Learning Approach when you visit our school.
In Zambia, where I grew up, education is a true luxury. At the age of 18, I had the privilege to come to the United States for college, which sparked my love for learning. I graduated from pharmacy school at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and began my career as a pharmacist in the retail industry, where I managed up to 34 stores at one time. Through this experience, I became enthralled with the operations side of business and honed my management skills.
Our Primrose journey began when our oldest daughter, Maya, was born. It wasn’t until the birth of our second daughter, Meira, that I decided to combine my experience in operations with my passion for education and open a Primrose School in 2008. Now, ten years and five schools later, our sixth and seventh locations will open in Klyde Warren Park, located in Dallas, and Temple, Texas in Spring 2020.
Although Noel and I are involved in every aspect of our schools, from the curriculum implementation to the menu, my highest priority is continually placed on the well-being and growth of my staff and students. Providing superior customer service to our parents is a priority as well. By providing a home away from home for the community we serve, I feel I am truly living out my own American Dream. We are committed to making a difference in the communities we serve and are actively involved in supporting local foundations and charities.
Noel and I are residents of Plano, Texas, where our daughter, Meira, is a senior at Plano West High School. Meira loves watching football (she is a diehard Patriots fan), playing golf, and participating in classical Indian dancing. Maya, our older daughter, is a senior at the University of Texas, where she is double-majoring in government and history and minoring in business and English. Maya also plays rugby for the UT women’s rugby team and plans to go to law school after graduation.
As a family, we enjoy cooking meals that have been passed down from my mother, watching movies, going on walks with our dog, Roxy, and “traveling with a purpose.” Most recently, Noel and I traveled to Myanmar, where we visited a monastery and various schools. We particularly enjoy visiting schools across the world to gain a deeper understanding of what those school systems are like and offering help when we can.
Sincerely,
Dr. Pratiksha Rigley
