iFly Indoor Skydiving

It’s finally here. Indoor Skydiving within a stone’s throw of The Woodlands. Visit the newest thrill seeker’s haven at iFly, an Indoor Skydiving facility that gives the ultimate skydiving experience without jumping out of a plane. Flights range from $70-250 for first timers while return customers get to fly from $55-$230.

“We just want to see people having a good time,” says Nick Riedl, iFly’s lead instructor. And all who enter can certainly expect nothing less.

All flyers need to take their safety-training course in order to safely fly at the facility. To achieve the skydiving without the sky experience, you are placed in a vertical wind tunnel that is 14 feet in diameter and sixty feet tall. You will be on an accompanied dive with a flight instructor for both safety and instructional purposes.

This is one of only two indoor skydiving facilities in the Houston area, and we’re lucky to have one so close to home. Get out there and try it out and let us know how you like it!

Five Hottest Luxury Outdoor-Living Trends

First impressions are vital. A home’s backyard elicits a commanding first impression of its own, and is integral to creating a cohesive atmosphere from the interior to the exterior. Modern luxury is not only the century-old reclaimed wood floors imported from France or the Zimbabwean black honed granite counters. The gold standard of fine living is more often than not defined by the marriage of, and careful consideration for, the outdoor spaces accompanying it.

In 2015, the top trends for a home’s backyard entertaining space typically takes on one of two forms: modern or natural. A modern-style backyard oasis features clean lines and monochromatic tones. Natural backyards highlight earth-rich tones and natural materials such as stone, wood, and elemental features including the fire and water contrast.

Collapsible doors fold like an accordion to bring the serenity of the outdoors to your homes interior.

Open your home to the beauty of nature

The interior and exterior of a home are often considered two separate entities. To flip this notion, outdoor living spaces are becoming less disjointed with the simplicity of collapsible walls, turning a sitting room into an all-inclusive outdoor entertaining arena. Peel back the accordion style doorways to bring the serenity of the outdoors to your home’s interior.

Outdoor verandas provide exceptional spots to lounge with friends

Luxurious Outdoor Veranda

For those unwilling to compromise with an exclusively outdoors space, covered outdoor patios stocked full of amenities such as a television, fireplace, and recessed lighting with ceiling fans are a sensible concession. For those looking for a more technological approach, projector screens and outdoor audio systems can be fine-tuned to maximize your outdoor experience. To go one step further, underwater speaker systems are also available so you can listen to your favorite calming tracks if the kids tip over your floating device.

Fire & Water

Fire and water do not mesh particularly well, but with a little creativity it can create an intoxicating ambiance. Pushing the envelope between the mundane and the extravagant, the cohesion of water and fire can create a striking balance to transport a typical backyard into a Zen-like oasis.

Poolside features such as those shown above provide a refined touch of luxury to your relaxation time.

Poolside Structures

Your backyard is more than just fashioning interesting ways to present your pool from your home’s rear windows. Structures like pergolas and gazebos can create a cozy, resort-like getaway a few steps from your back door. Entertain guests poolside or relax and unwind to your favorite book.

Water Features

Water features are a staple of luxury pool designs, however the design quality and creativity is once again the differentiator in this category. Modern designs such as the one depicted above are as much art as they are a source of calm and inspiration.

Outdoor kitchens and bars ensure the host never needs to walk away from the action

Outdoor kitchens

While entertaining, the last thing a host wants to do is walk away from the buzz of the party to check on the food in the oven. Outdoor kitchens provide the convenience and design qualities of luxurious kitchens, and they bring you back to the party. One advantage of the outdoor kitchen is the ability to indulge in different cooking options like pizza ovens, smokers, and other options that may not be as practical for the interior kitchen. Stainless steel grills and cabinets are a popular choice, and with stone surroundings, these spaces can combine the modern and natural design elements of trending spaces in 2015.

Summary:

The modern and natural design elements help solidify the character of a home on the inside and out. Modern and natural luxury are not only about stunning features like contemporary designs and historical features, but also about the exterior of the home bringing it all together.
