Rotary International is an international service organization dedicated to helping those in our own community and worldwide. Rotary International has six areas of focus. These are:
• Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.
• Disease prevention and treatment.
• Water and sanitation.
• Maternal and child health.
• Basic education and literacy.
• Economic and community development.
The Southlake Club is roughly 25 members and we are a highly active and fun club. Some of our service projects include a dictionary project, trash pick-up on Silicon Drive at Dragon Stadium, food drives, winter clothing drives, DPS appreciation day, scholarships for DPS officer’s kids, Salvation Army bell ringing, blood drives, an exclusive Cioppino Night fundraiser and much more! Also, most of the service projects and activities we do are all family friendly. Many of our members bring their kids to our service projects --- and it is always delightful to witness children discovering ways to give back to and help their community.
We also meet for quarterly Happy Hours and do a fun Christmas Party every year. Our Club is diverse in age and gender and we have many industries represented. We have all made some fantastic friends in this group!
We meet every Friday at Timarron Country Club from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm and have a different speaker each week. Members who are unable to attend in person can also join our meetings via Zoom (Meeting ID 8706268978, PW 270112). Each member is responsible for booking a speaker approximately 2 times a year (this depends on the number of members we have).
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. We warmly invite you to consider joining our Club! We would LOVE to have you.
