Having lived in different countries and met people from all walks of life has broadened my global perspective and shaped me into the person that I am today.
I was born in Brownsville, Texas bordering the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas. I am what you call a first-generation American when my parents came to the United States chasing the American Dream. One of my many blessings has been the opportunity to travel across the Americas from an early age.
I am proud of my heritage and community, but I quickly understood that not many are as fortunate as I am. Several of my relatives, including my parents, lived as undocumented immigrants for decades and a few still do, not knowing if their circumstance will ever change. The majority of my most meaningful life experiences were only possible because I’ve been an American Citizen since birth.
Knowing that the people I’ve grown to love and respect have been deprived of so much, and continue to be, has driven my passion to help immigrants. When I realized that activism alone during my spare time was not enough, I shifted my career and hobbies towards better serving my community to bring about meaningful and positive change.
Now I am a proud member of the Lincoln-Goldfinch Law firm where I believe I can continue making a difference with like-minded individuals.
Together I know we can bring about change and most importantly peace of mind to several immigrant families. Because “mi casa es su casa,” is not just an expression of hospitality, it is a value I strive to make a reality.
